Secretly swap a card for the one on top of the pack.
The purpose
Exchange a card in the hand for the pack's top card under cover of a gesture — a workhorse switch for transformations and predictions.
Handling, step by step

Bring the hand with the card to the pack as you turn or gesture.

Exchange the cards in passing.
- 3
Carry the gesture through so the change rides on motion.

Change on motion
Only ever change under a large, motivated movement; never in still hands.
Success: The switch is lost in the gesture.
Watch for these tells
- A pause at the pack.
- Eyes dropping to the hands.
